Enrollment

Enrollment at Norfolk Karate Academy is simple and consists of  monthly tuition and an enrollment package to help new students immediately start their training .

Enrollment Package

We have put together a package of essential training equipment for new students at NKA. This enrollment package is modestly priced at $50 and you receive:

1)   One student karate uniform (add $10 to substitute a student jiu-jitsu uniform for the Gracie Jiu-Jitsu program).

2)   One official NKA T-Shirt.

3)   One groin cup with supporter (for males).

4)   One NKA patch after submitting the 30-Day Survey (located in the Members area of this website).

Tuition

EFFECTIVE 1 JANUARY 2010 (FOR NEW STUDENTS ONLY)! The monthly rate is $125 for students who do not wish to commit to training.  We reward those who will commit to training by reducing the monthly rate to $95 per month for 12 months.  Students who agree to commit to 12 months of instruction may freeze their account at any time for holidays, sickness, or other personal absences for up to three months.  Your tuition, regardless of whether you pay $95 or $125 per month, allows your to attend one or all of our programs (Junior Program, Adult Program, Cardio-Karate, and our Gracie Jiu-Jitsu programs -- Gracie CombativesTM and The Master Cycle when qualified).  Dues are paid on a month-to-month basis on the first of the month.  Norfolk Karate Academy accepts tuition payments in cash, check, credit card (Visa or Mastercard), or through electronic funds transfer from a bank or credit card account.  Please inform a staff member if you anticipate a leave of absence from training at NKA so we can adjust your monthly billing accordingly.

NKA does not require a long-term contractual agreement. In addition, there are no hidden costs nor testing fees for examinations.

Family Rates: Training in martial arts is the perfect activity for all family members. To encourage family participation, we give discounts to additional family members who enroll at NKA.  Monthly tuition for the second family member in a 12-month plan is $70 and only $60 per month for the third family member. All other family members train for free.  If you choose to pay on a month-to-month basis, then the rate for the second family member is $100 and $90 for the third family member.
